­Veg Pledge Logo­The Green Party is cosponsoring this project with Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL) to encourage San Diegans to explore reducing meat and other animal products in their diet for one week in order to improve their health, protect the environment and prevent cruelty to animals. There are daily activities, including movie, nutrition lecture, bake sale, and cooking class, and prizes. The website has links to recipes, local veg-friendly restaurants and lots of information.
