Lecture and booksigning by Diane Wilson. When Diane Wilson, fourth-generation shrimp-boat captain and mother of five, learns that she lived in the most polluted county in the U.S., she decides to fight back. She is co-founder of Code Pink and continues to lead the fight for social justice. Special appearance by Peggy Watson. Location: First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego, 4190 Front Street, Hillcrest (opposite UCSD Medical Center). Parking: Church parking lot (limited) / Street parking (within two blocks) Wheelchair accessible Cost: Donations requested. No one turned away for lack of funds.
