The Green Party is Looking for Great Candidates

The campaigning season for the 2012 election is just around the corner. The San Diego chapter of the Green Party is looking to recruit candidates to run for local offices here in San Diego County. 

As a progressive third party which advocates for policies supporting the environment, social justice and the peace and prosperity of our nation, we would like to field candidates who are passionate about these issues. There are many offices up for election in the San Diego area in 2012, whether it be a congressional or a local planning board seat, and we are willing to assist with a campaign for any of these positions and to continue to build our base.

Civic engagement is the lifeblood of our democracy, and with the Republicans and Democrats often beholden to special interests and corporate money, third-party campaigns can stand up for the rights and needs of everybody else. Running for an election with the Green Party can give you a chance to speak truth to power and to do something, not only towards addressing the challenges we face as a society, but towards fixing our dysfunctional political system.
